Thank you so much for your interest in the 33rd Small Museum Association Annual Conference from February 19 – 21, 2017.  This year, the Small Museum Association is excited to usher in a new era for the conference. Not only are we in a new location at the Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in College Park, MD, but our theme All Hands on Deck focuses on the need for collaboration as a way for the museum field to reach its wide-ranging missions. Often, small museums are challenged to develop new ideas, create innovative experiences, and engage an ever-growing audience of visitors with unique needs while managing limited resources and staff capacity. The small museum field is rarely short on ambition; however, most sites lack all the necessary tools to turn plans into action.  That’s where you come in!

Oftentimes it’s the unique abilities of firms like yours that contribute to the success of museum initiatives. The resources you provide are exactly what museums need: an extra set of hands, news tools, and fresh perspectives.
